“Be Thou My Vision” is an extremely well-known and popular hymn that is set to an Irish tune from centuries ago. This arrangement is from a trumpet solo book (with piano accompaniment) entitled “Give Me Jesus” written by Faye López and Mark López and published by Soundforth. Gordon (the trumpet player) and I have been able to collaborate on several songs from this book. It is great, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a book for teaming up with a trumpeter or similar instrumentalist. Here is another recording of Gordon and I playing from this book.
