Page of music with loads of arpeggiosTime for me to vent and rant a bit.  I hear that it’s good for the soul though, so I’m sure I’ll feel better when I’m done.  In the last few weeks I’ve been inundated with new music from a variety of sources.  If there’s one thing that gets me excited, it’s getting new music.  I was pumped about getting to sit down at the piano each day to sight-read some solo books, choral pieces, and sheet music.  However, my excitement dwindled a bit when I started playing through some music by certain composers.

The music that I was disappointed by would be considered “advanced,” but that wasn’t what disappointed me.  I consider myself solidly in the “late-intermediate” level of piano prowess, but I can play some advanced music.  The fact that the music was a bit out of my league wasn’t what bothered me.  It was why it was too hard.
